Database of patients interested in clinical trials involving Focused Ultrasound Surgery for Movement Disorders
FUS TRIAL PRESCREENING -
University of Virginia IRB#16034

Dr. Jeff Elias at the University of Virginia Health System is the principal investigator of one or more clinical trials investigating the use of Focused Ultrasound Surgery in Movement Disorders. In order to more efficiently communicate with patients who are interested in these trials, and to conduct an initial pre-screening for these trials, the study team has developed a database. Patients 18 years or older with a movement disorder are invited to be listed in the database. To participate, patients complete a questionnaire, either online or by mail, regarding clinical history that is relevant to clinical trial participation. Once your contact information is in the database, you will receive information about clinical trials as they become available. Please note that the initial studies are small in size. Also, enrollment may not be open at this time.

If you would like to be part of this database, go to: https://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/focusedultrasoundtrial/ .

For more information please contact Johanna Loomba, Department of Neurosurgery study coordinator, by email at FUSbrain@virginia.edu.  You may also contact us by phone at 434-243-1435, but email is encouraged.
