A star can be named for just about anyone or any group, and some constellations have been designed with a particular group in mind. The following are suggestions of whom a star could be named, but it is by no means exhaustive of all possibilities!

• Loved ones who are affected by essential tremor;
• Family and friends who have served or are serving in the armed forces;
• A person who has died, such as a parent or grandparent, for whom you wish to create a memorial;
• A child who holds a special place in your heart;
• A teacher who has inspired your life.
• A pet (cat or dog) that you love.

When you choose a star you are also choosing a package. Packages provide varying amounts of space for text, and photographs. The amount of space increases with the size of the corresponding donation.

White Star Package -
$100 donation includes space for:

• Name of star - (person or persons being honored) - One line up to 30 characters.
• Star Date (The date the donation is processed).
• Donor name - One line to 30 characters.

Yellow Star Package -
$250 donation includes space for:

• Name of star - (person or persons being honored) - One line up to 30 characters.
• Star Date (The date the donation is processed).
• Donor name - One line to 30 characters.
• Phrase or sentence up to 60 characters in length.

Silver-Blue Star Package -
$500 donation includes space for:

• Name of star - (person or persons being honored) - One line up to 30 characters.
• Star Date (The date the donation is processed).
• Donor name - One line to 30 characters.
• Phrase or sentence up to 60 characters in length.
• Photograph.

Red Star Package -
$1,000 donation includes space for:

• Name of star - (person or persons being honored) - One line up to 30 characters.
• Star Date (The date the donation is processed).
• Donor name - One line to 30 characters.
• Phrase or sentence up to 120 characters in length.
• Photograph.
• In addition, a membership in the IETF’s Presidents Club and acknowledgement in the IETF’s quarterly newsletter, Tremor Talk.

Constellation Package -
$2,500 donation provides the opportunity to honor a special group of people, including family, military unit, school friends, etc. Includes

• A special constellation designed to your specifications using up to 30 stars of mixed colors.
• Each star will have:
  1. Name of star
  2. Star date
  3. Donor name
  4. Photograph
  5. Message up to 120 characters in length
• Membership to the IETF Presidents Club.
• Acknowledgement in Tremor Talk.
• Tremor Talk and website personal story about the constellation.

When ordering the constellation package, please contact the IETF office at 1-888-387-3667 for specifics in submitting information and pictures.

How to name a star:

• First choose constellation by clicking on it at the top of this page, and locate a star that is available to be named.
• Click on this star, and a donation form will open.
• Enter the information about the star, and upload a JPEG picture if included in your star package. If you don’t have a JPEG or don’t know what a JPEG is, please mail us a copy of your photograph. Once you click on the star, the donation page will remember which star is yours.
• Enter your payment information.
• Click the submit button.
• If you choose, you can print the order form and submit by mail.

Guidelines:

• There will be a minimum of 7 to 10 business days between the time you name a star and make a donation until it is viewable on the website. This gives the IETF time to review and process all submissions.
• The IETF reserves the right to decline a submission that is considered, by the IETF, to be inappropriate.
• Specific star locations cannot be guaranteed. The IETF reserves the right to assign an available star of the chosen package level from within the chosen constellation.
• One star can be named for one and two persons, (i.e. John Smith or John and Jane Smith) or can be named for a group (i.e. Kansas Troop 24).
