“All Hands on Deck” for BRAIN Initiative
Described as America’s next moonshot, the BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies) Initiative is an NIH 12-year scientific plan focused on revolutionizing our understanding of the human brain. The IETF has joined major foundations, patient advocacy organizations, universities, and corporations, to align more than $240 million in research efforts to the initiative. Learn more.
IETF Educating Healthcare Providers
To provide greater access to resources, the IETF frequently exhibits materials at several national healthcare provider conferences throughout the year. In 2014, the IETF attended seven conferences where professional from all over the world gained crucial knowledge about ET.
Education materials were available to nearly 20,000 attendees at the following conferences: American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Family Physicians – Family Medicine Residents and Students, American Academy of Family Physicians, Association of Family Practice Physicians Assistants, American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, American Osteopathic Association, and the Kansas State Nurses Association. Nearly 6,200 of the conference healthcare providers were mailed additional materials to help update their colleagues about ET and to provide information for their patients. As part of our mission, the IETF strives to continue healthcare professional education to provide greater support for you.
