Tremor Gram – February 2015
Walk, Donate or Fundraise for ET Awareness Month
Your participation in an ET Awareness Walk is important to us and it is a key factor to making National ET Awareness Month a success. But it is your fundraising that will support research initiatives and propel them forward. If you are unable to walk, you can still have a part in raising awareness by fundraising. Fundraising is easier than ever before. Reach out to friends, family, coworkers or neighbors by simply asking for their support much like Elissa Kline did. She wrote a personal letter sharing her story about ET and sent it to friends and family. And now the donations keep pouring in. By just asking for support, you can help raise ET awareness. Over the next six weeks, make a fundraising goal and commit to reaching it. It will go a long way to helping us get closer to the next breakthrough in ET research and further funding for better support, treatments and raising awareness.
There’s still time to register for the IETF’s first-ever interactive expo on essential tremor. The expo features exhibits and presentations by doctors on the diagnostic process, treatment options, current research, assistive devices, coping tips and more. Hear from experts during a panel Q&A discussion following the presentations. Lunch will be provided and parking validated.
Cost is free!
