Impressions of ET
Linda Coty has been a visual artist for more than 36 years. She has mainly worked in oils, but five years ago, she switched to pastels. Her work appears at a gallery in Southern Maryland, and she has taught art classes for children. Linda’s work is Impressionistic with a hazy expression. Detail-oriented painting is difficult for her to do, but realistic painting has not been her genre of choice anyway.
She developed ET in her early 40s. As it became more severe, she opted for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery in August 2007. She received incredible improvement in her hands, trunk and head. In March 2009, shaking in her left hand appeared again, as did slight tremors in her right hand and head. In March 2010, the wires and neurotransmitter in her DBS implant were replaced, and her right hand and head hold steady again.
